Last week we created the Empathy Map and refined our "How might we..." sentence. We came to this weeks lesson with both of them prepared and ready for the next step in our process - Ideation.
In class, we were asked to start coming up with ideas for a solution to our problem. We held a brainstorming session in which we wrote as many ideas as possible on sticky notes in the span of 25 minutes and hung them on a board. We were instructed to be as creative as possible and not to stick only to practical ideas. Our group tends to lean on the more practical side and as a result, we didn't have many ideas that were out of the scope of reality. We did however, come up with many surprising ideas that we may not have thought of otherwise.
After that we were asked to write the chain of events for our personas, and understand at which point on our timeline our app fits in.
Our plan for this week is to deepen our thinking into the ideas we came up with, and in the coming weeks we will continue to work on the research axis, look for articles and interviewing experts.
